Sterile Processing Program Overview
Sterile Processing Technicians, also known as Medical Equipment Preparers, are devoted to maintaining a clean surgical environment by inspecting, cataloging, and sterilizing all surgical instruments and equipment. In less than a year, you can earn your diploma in this highly fulfilling and rewarding career path.
Accelerated Program
Students at Brookline College can earn their diploma in as little as 42 weeks. With a diploma, there are several optional credentials you can seek as a Sterile Processing Technician:
- Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician
- Certified Radiology Equipment Specialists
- Certified Laboratory Equipment Specialist
The Brookline College Sterile Processing program is a blended on-campus and online program. You can take two of your classes fully online and the remaining core classes are on-campus or live lecture during the evenings.
Flexible Schedule
Before graduating, you will also participate in a local externship to provide you with real-world experience and hands-on training. In as little as 42 weeks, you will be ready for an entry-level position as a Sterile Processing Technician.
